Our pillars
The programme called "Santa María Cathedral – The Pillars of Vitoria-Gasteiz" is represented symbolically by the 18 pillars which support the structure of the central nave of the Cathedral.
Each of these pillars will be awarded to a company or business institution as a sign of their becoming an active part of the history of the most significant project of our city: the integral restoration of Santa María Cathedral in Vitoria-Gasteiz, our precious Old Cathedral.
For this reason, and due to the personal and social commitment that these contributions represent, the Santa María Cathedral Foundation wishes to open the project up to the participation and involvement of local businesses which will become in this way a new "pillar" of Santa María.
Each pillar is paid for by a single contribution of 100.000 €, payable over a maximum period of ten years. All funds will be used for the development of the cultural and educational programme that is being developed by the Foundation.
